jimmy47785
There is a delay or interruption between the instant I push the accelerator from a stationary position and when the gearbox engages. My car's most significant issue is this. I would very value any input about this issue, since it seems to be unique to this particular automobile model. Thank you. Screwdriver_1
Does the engine experience an increase in revolutions per minute before the gearbox engages?
jimmy47785
Negative. There is no revision. Merely a postponement, devoid of any significant occurrence. Then it abruptly cuts. We appreciate your inquiry.
Screwdriver_1
Does the automobile include an Auto Start/Stop system that automatically turns off the engine when the brakes are engaged? Is the Malfunction Indicator Lamp illuminated? It may be worthwhile to do a check specifically for BMW codes in order to identify any potential issues. It is important to note that not all problems will trigger the illumination of the Check Engine (CE) light.
jimmy47785
We appreciate your inquiry once again. Auto Start/stop feature is not available. The engine remains in operation. The malfunction indicator lamp remains unilluminated. Upon coming to a halt, I depress the accelerator, and the engine continues to operate at a moderate speed and with little noise. Subsequently, after a few moment, the car's engine engages and the vehicle accelerates suddenly. I had believed that this is a distinguishing feature of the automatic gearboxes in mini s 2010 models. Now I am contemplating if I should consult the dealer to ascertain whether the issue is related to the computer programming. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts? Screwdriver_1
Are these vehicles equipped with drive-by-wire technology, meaning there is no physical cord between the accelerator and the throttle body? I have little information about second-generation automobiles. In most cases, if the engine does not immediately react to the throttle, it is advisable to investigate potential issues such as a malfunctioning Throttle Position Sensor (which may have many sensors), a contaminated Mass Flow sensor, or a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, depending on the specific components installed in the vehicle. The presence of noise on the CAN bus may result in the computer experiencing additional processing time as it attempts to differentiate between genuine and false inputs. If you want to avoid taking your vehicle to a repair shop, it may be justifiable to invest in a high-quality diagnostic scan instrument.
