ForumGuru
I was wondering if there was a way to calibrate the speedo on a 24 GT Line to make it work with SCC. There is currently a 7% overreading.
Motoman
Someone who makes remaps or something similar would have to be independent as 7% is within commercial and legal tolerance. Who wants to know? Certainly not Kia or the key dealers. Why, I must enquire? For example, if the limit is 70 and you want to set your cruise control speed to 75, set it at 53 and let it misread to 50. ForumGuru
Even if I can accomplish that, the auto speed adjustment feature will only alter the speed if the current speed is greater than the current limit.
DreamWeaver
Also, my MY23 is completely out of whack. Will the odometer mileage and average MPG be affected if the Speedo is off by 7% as well?
developer
No, that's a simple response. Every vehicle has a built-in tolerance for things like weather (temperature affects tyre pressures), road conditions, and the condition of your tires. "A speedometer must never show less than the actual speed, and must never show more than 110% of actual speed + 6.25mph." This tolerance statement always shocks people.
