Stopping both the motion and tilt detectors

Hello. This is usually a problem for me, yet the handbook never addresses the issue together. When I turn off the tilt sensor by pressing the button, an indicator light goes off. But if I also want to turn off the motion sensor, should I do it simultaneously? I'm not sure whether it's still active, but when I click it immediately after the tilt one, it doesn't flash. I'm hoping this is explained. Cheers

Yes, if the automobile is left with my dog inside. On a ferry, the tilt must be turned off, but the interior must also be turned off so that movement within the ship does not set off the alert.
Carrying a jack to test the alarm is a poor option.

I wouldn't leave them in the vehicle if the sun was shining, if there was a chance that the sun might shine, if I was going to be gone for more than 30 minutes, and the windows and sunroof would be open. But you are absolutely correct, in most cases it is a perilous thing to do.

But to go back to my issue, I'm still not sure whether I have to hit both buttons simultaneously in order to turn off both systems or if I can turn off both systems individually by pushing one button then the other. You won't find it in the instructions.

I suppose it flashes if you merely press the motion switch? I'd hazard a bet that the motion isn't off in the situation you describe; you may check this at home by locking the vehicle while remaining inside and moving your arms about. To observe what occurs, try pressing the buttons in the reverse sequence (motion, then tilt).

Similar to the classic joke about some teenage scallywags who "offer" to watch a man's parked vehicle in exchange for a few pounds while he goes grocery shopping.

He declines our offer, saying, "No thanks; my Alsatian dog is sitting in the back car, and he's ferocious.

In response

Nice dog, Mr. Mister, but can it put out fires?....."

Used to be prevalent in Glasgow at football games - mind your vehicle, sir! The fee was a few pennies. The more considerate response to 'no thanks' was to inquire if the item could blow up tyres.
