jennycarlotta
Greetings, The dashboard is displaying an error message indicating a fault with the vehicle lighting. Upon inspection, I have verified that all the lights are functioning properly, with no bulbs or LEDs exhibiting any signs of being unlit. Upon doing a scan using On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II), the following problems have been identified: The defects are unable to be eliminated. Are there any potential factors that might be attributed to the cause of this phenomenon? The user expresses gratitude for the assistance provided. jimmy47785
The status of the lights was verified. Certain brake light assemblies may use dual bulbs, creating the illusion of functional brake lights, but with varying levels of luminosity. If this is not the cause of the specific problem you are experiencing? It is advisable to verify the condition of the earths and connections. Please provide updates on your progress. jennycarlotta
The brightness was assessed and found to be satisfactory. Upon visual inspection, it seems that all wires are in satisfactory condition, with no apparent indications of fraying. Consequently, the subsequent course of action is seeking the expertise of an automotive electrician. Thank you for your assistance.
jimmy47785
Have you conducted a physical inspection of the backlight bulb holders and verified the operational status of both brake light bulbs, if there are two?
jennycarlotta
Upon closer examination during the evening, it is evident that there is a rubber grommet housing a cluster of wires, which are encased in black tape, protruding from it. This component is situated at the posterior section of the light unit, which forms an integral part of the rear fender. I harboured uncertainty over the decision to attempt its reversal. Additionally, there exists another component of the light unit that is integrated into the rear trunk lid. I want to capture photographs and thereafter upload them on the following day. developer
Is it possible that there is a problem with the switch or ballast boxes in the headlights?
jennycarlotta
Further elaboration on the issue at hand: The light selection switch and its surrounding indicators do not illuminate, but all other switches exhibit proper illumination. Moreover, the headlights and taillights are activated, regardless of the position of the light selection switch, even during daytime hours. When the switch is set to the "Auto" mode and the door is opened while the ignition is off, the buzzer will continue to sound until the selector is switched to the off position. developer
One potential course of action to consider is initiating the replacement of the switch as a first step.

jennycarlotta
Presently, I own a C7 sedan from the year 2012 equipped with a 2.8fsi engine, which belongs to my spouse. The high beam functionality is non-operational, both in flash mode and when engaged as a complete high beam. When the lever is engaged, the dashboard illuminates with a blue indication light. The diagnostic scan using On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) revealed the presence of a "open circuit" error message. The notice was deleted, however, the high beam remains non-functional. clk320x4
I have encountered this problem. Has there been any success in fixing the issue?
jennycarlotta
Regrettably, I was unable to resolve the problem independently. After visiting the auto electrician and receiving a detailed explanation, the lights have been successfully repaired, although at a significant cost. The failure to identify the signal sent by the stalk necessitates the replacement of one or more circuit boards.
clk320x4
Thank you for your prompt reply. This particular forum is the only source that has a reference to the aforementioned problem. I left the automobile exposed to the elements outside. It is hypothesised that the accumulation of leaves obstructed the windscreen drains, resulting in the infiltration of water behind the dashboard.
