The occurrence of error messages being induced on a dashboard might be regarded as a method used by scammers.

Hi
I was trying to sell my car and got a few people to come view a bit late. One of them opened the bonnet and put his hand somewhere and then went back inside the car. Then a lot of error messages started appearing on the dashboard. These errors were not there before and I'm sure because I had taken a photo before to advertise the car. The errors are
1. Engine Fault Reduced power
2. Driving stabilisation failure
3. Flat tyre Monitor failure
These guys were still insisting to buy the car but for a lot cheaper. I eventually told them that I will not sell a car with issues. I got suspicious because they were going on and on about how the engine will cost a lot to repair and I was telling them that it makes no sense that there is a flat tyre failure.
Can anyone help me figure out what they could have done? Did they disconnect a set of sensors and if they know help me fix this

Having knowledge about the specific make and model of the automobile, as well as the kind of engine and the specific area inside the engine compartment that the individual was tampering with, might potentially provide insights into the potential disconnection that may have occurred.

The vehicle in question is a BMW 525d. I am uncertain as to the specific errors he may have made. The individuals exhibited intelligence and strategically positioned themselves, with one individual leading us from the front while the other guided us from behind.

The task has been completed. Beneath the engine cover, there is an additional rubber pad and a series of connections were seen. I have recently attempted to insert the specified items, and as a result, one of them has successfully been inserted, leading to the elimination of all errors shown on the dashboard. The statement is difficult to accept or comprehend.

The individuals in question exhibit audacious behavior.
The underlying principle is to refrain from opening the hood until one remains in close proximity to the engine compartment, particularly in situations when an individual attempts to divert one's attention.
