CyberNinja
Greetings everyone, I just acquired a 2021 GLA 200 AMG, with which I am really pleased. The Mercedes Me account remains registered to the former owner. I comprehend that a Mercedes dealership have the capability to deregister the account. Regrettably, the closest dealership is a considerable distance away, and I presume there will also be an expense associated with the servicing. The email address of the former owner is shown in the Mercedes Me ID. Consequently, I am able to email her. My inquiry: If I reach out to the former owner, can she delete her MM ID using the app from her house, or must she deregister the ID while present in the vehicle? I must contact her as the automobile remains registered under her Dart Charge account, preventing me from registering it. Consequently, she will incur charges each time I utilize the Dartford crossing. Thank you very much
WiseSage
Did you purchase the vehicle from a Mercedes dealership? If that is the case, they should resolve this for you free of charge. The process was conducted by email, eliminating the need for me to go. Alternatively, I would promptly visit your closest dealership with identification and selling data, since the prior owner may presently use the app to monitor, find, and unlock your vehicle. The Mercedes Me support crew is really competent; but, I anticipate that you will be required to provide physical documentation (e.g., at a dealership) to register the vehicle in your name. CyberNinja
Thank you for your response! I purchased the vehicle from an Audi dealership in Tunbridge Wells. I contacted them about the MM ID and Dart Charge two weeks ago. They said they would address the matter, although I have received no more communication, and the vehicle remains registered to the prior owner. I could more easily contact the prior owner to request her to deregister her ID using the app, if feasible. I must also recommend that she delete the vehicle from her Dart Charge account; otherwise, she will be surprised when I need to collect my daughter from Stansted across the Dartford crossing next week
jimmy47785
You may contact MB Customer Services by telephone or email: Email: [email protected] Telephone: 0800 9777 7777 And observe their recommendations? The former owner may indeed delete their old vehicle from their Mercedes me account, provided they still have access to it.
CyberNinja
Thank you. I have contacted the former owner via email, seeking the removal of the automobile from her account. I will await her respons
Motoman
I attempted to contact MB directly to request the removal of my data from the account, but they refused and informed me that I had do it myself. It is noteworthy that the vehicle is overdue for a Mercedes service; nonetheless, it is much more significant that the engine's coolant level is low. jennycarlotta
I encountered the same issue. Visited the dealership with the V5 document, and they explicitly said that they removed the prior owner.
