ChatMaven
Greetings, I left my vehicle at the airport for two weeks while on vacation. Prior to this, I had similar issues a few weeks previously, which the independent mechanic was able to reset. The car started without incident last night, but after driving around one mile, the dashboard illuminated with several error messages, including ESP, SRS, ABS, and others. During my previous visit to the independent mechanic, they were initially unable to establish communication with the vehicle. However, after some manipulation, they successfully reset and rebooted all the modules, resulting in the disappearance of the problems. The car functioned well until last night at the airport. I am seeing several ESP/ABS errors on the dashboard, the brake hold function is nonfunctional, the cruise control is inoperative, and the engine fan operates continuously while the engine is running. Additionally, I often set my lights to "Auto," but last night the vehicle prompted me to turn them off, which has not occurred before. Has anybody experienced this, and what conclusions did you draw? TDudette
Possibly the brake light switch? However, I am uncertain, to be honest.
CyberNinja
The brake light switch is a viable option and a simple, inexpensive DIY task. Approximately ten pounds for a switch from your local automotive supplier. The sensor ring on the steering wheel is also an option. I cannot recall the name. I had a similar issue with my CLS55.
alpaco45
If the issue is to the brake switch, the dashboard will illuminate just when the brake pedal is engaged. If it illuminates upon key activation with the brake pedal disengaged, then the issue lies elsewhere. If it delays activation until reaching speeds of 5+ mph, it is likely that an ABS ring is rusted or fractured. These are all generalisations, but one must start the diagnostic at some point. BEERMAN
That seems to be a wheel speed sensor.

Mistral
The primary battery requires recharging or replacement. Frequent issues, all associated with diminished battery voltage. Abandoning it for two weeks has significant meaning. To be honest.
ChatMaven
This is an update: I drove the vehicle yesterday, and the only warning shown was an ABS issue. After a 15-minute trip to the shops, I attempted to drive home, and all faults were disappeared. However, I checked this morning, and they have reappeared. There is a very sporadic malfunction present.

ChatMaven
Abandoning the vehicle for two weeks would not precipitate this issue, since I have already experienced it without leaving the car. Furthermore, I have verified that the battery is functioning well; it is just two years old and still under a three-year guarantee. I suspect a wiring failure or poor connection to one of the modules, since it has become very intermittent.
Mistral
Best of luck, my friend; please inform us of the outcome. 👍👍
