Actually, it looks great

Now that I'm retired, I really need to put in the time to get mine in working order again.

To prevent the "bots" from scraping your email address, I changed it to a 😃:at in your message. Putting your email address online in plain sight is a bad idea. A human eye can see an email address in the picture of the @ symbol even though a computer program can't.

Hoovie has a brand new, fake Maybach.
SkippyTom replied to p00rmansp0rsche's topic in General Discussions
Mercedes-Maybach had its highest sales year ever in 2016, delivering 21,600 cars (+37%) to satisfied customers. Initially, the company had hoped to sell half of all Maybach production in the United States (and not only the East). Japan, Korea, the Middle East, and notably China, where Mercedes-Maybach produced over 1,100 cars each month, were major contributors to this expansion. 1,100 USD per month in China!!! -

It's disgusting, just like all the other Maybachs. -
Completed with success (see previous article).

I appreciate it. When the window was completely wrapped, I wiped it off with white vinegar and a rag on the end of a toothbrush. It was a success!

(S-Class W221, S-350L, 2011) A lot of green stuff (algae?) is growing on the inner rubbers (between the door and the window). These rubbers are securely attached to the windows, and I don't want to risk damaging them by prying them off in order to clean the inside. Is there a quick and simple method to make them black again?

What kind of data should be included on highway signs?
SkippyTom replied to John278's topic in General Discussions
A stay left sign, or even a maintain your distance sign, is a wonderful idea. I usually dislike excessive signage, but I can see the value in it on highways. -
These covered heads are a complete mystery to me. Rather of being brand new, it has 19k miles on its 14-plate.

Can this—whatever it is—be cleaned up? It has a baked-on texture and will not come off with a dry wipe.

Whine about the air conditioner, code W169.

Most air conditioning sounds are of a low frequency. There are currently discount codes available for ATS. -
Light for the parking brake that flashes intermittently

Thank you for your response; everything is OK, and I've just had an SBC overhaul. -
Evening, everybody! The automobile in issue is a sedan model year 2003 E55, as stated in the headline. The light will sometimes turn on, but it will never remain on for any length of time. Is it as simple as removing the panel and the switch, and if it doesn't work, maybe some electrical spray? I have an upcoming mot, and I'm guessing that I won't pass if the light doesn't turn on when I activate it. When the ignition is turned on, the light will constantly turn on, but it will turn off when the engine is started. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

It's not a problem because I'll be taking my caravan test soon after my driving test. Then do you think the TD5 is the best choice?
-
Thankyou! I'll keep a look out for the chassis, but I believe you're correct when you state that the TD5 is probably the best choice for meeting my requirements.

Hi everybody, At the end of the year, I want to get a Land Rover Defender 90 as my first automobile since I grew up with them and they are the best option for my location. I will be hauling up to 3.5 tonnes on a regular basis and driving 45 minutes each way on highways three times a week to go to and from school. I like off-roading and living in the country, where there are many hills with slopes of 33 percent or more. My previous thread asking a similar topic became too long, so I'm reposting it here, where the focus is squarely on the power plants. I have a question for you all: - why a 200tdi, - why a TD5, and - why not either?

Everyone will give you a different recommendation, but rubber or EPDM appears to have less difficulties than fiberglass, and I believe this is because of how effectively it is done in the first place. If there is any room for mobility in the construction, do you think the rubber would be more accommodating as well? 🙂 Having said that, felt, if it is installed correctly, may endure for a very long period as well - anywhere from 30 to 40 years, depending on the environment.

Yes, I wonder whether they no longer carry that part number. It was at RockAuto, however. There is only one available for $1.81 on a wholesaler closeout. Grab it right now!

The Stant 45858 180-degree thermometer is another tool of mine. I set it up about five years ago, and it's still functioning well. Having a combination of a Stant 45858 and a Nissens 64029 radiator allows me to maintain a body temperature of between 170 and 180 degrees.

I'm regrettably selling my Kenwood ka3020 amp from the 1990s, it comes with the original box, remote, and even the receipt, it's in perfect condition and has only had very little usage driving fantastic speakers, it's in great condition and has only had very minimal use. Photos are accessible, and a demo is possible if needed. £100 pls pm for photos as they won't let me attach

I totally agree with Paul. I think they are called "technicians," and they will never be mechanics because all they know is what a computer tells them. Sad to say, the mechanic is a dying breed.
