AMG33D
Greetings, fellow enthusiasts, Can anybody provide guidance on whether breathable vehicle coverings are advantageous, or should I just get a standard cotton-lined car cover to save the paintwork? Thank you very much

bvlenci
is unquestionably worthwhile. In addition to its velvety texture, it is breathable and waterproof, causing water to bead on the surface. It is possible to apply it on a wet vehicle, and the vehicle will subsequently dry underneath. I have one on my W221 all the time, and I've recently bought one for my S212. My only concern is that the covers perform optimally when they fit snugly, which leads me to avoid placing the cover on a filthy vehicle to prevent abrasion of the paintwork by the dirt. I am likely cleaning the vehicle more often than I normally would.
Rojoires
For winter, a completely waterproof vehicle cover is required. I use Monsoon vehicle coverings; this is the third cover I have acquired in 14 years, bought from Cover Craft. It is essential to choose covers with mirror pockets, as otherwise, the cover will lift in the middle. I wrap the automobile with old cotton sheets and secure them to the door handles.Subsequently, affix the automobile cover. The only issue with automobile coverings is securing them against the current winds. They may be used effectively. However, if you are able to
CheresX
I own one of the aforementioned Ultimate covers. It remains on the CLK while we are outside of Italy. Currently, a maximum duration of three months. The paintwork is always entirely dry behind the cover. A little amount of dust infiltrates, likely from the underside, but far less than any cover I have previously used. I believe it is too cumbersome for daily or weekly removal, but it is excellent for long-term usage.
developer
I utilise a traditional adds 1/2 cover to safeguard my CLK soft top. Functions well, is sufficiently lightweight, and fits easily. I saw many more tiny scratches after the first winter; most were removed with polish.
Screwdriver_1
I am quite satisfied with my Classic Additions cover; after three years, it continues to keep the vehicle completely dry and is perfectly breathable, as previously stated.
