Comparing E46 and E90

I already have an e90 and was wondering if anyone has discovered any cheaper insurance for an e46? I'm planning to use it as a drift car that is still road legal, so I don't want to spend a tonne of money on insurance.

Beyond the age/value axis, I don't see much of a difference.
Having had both in the past, sequentially, I believe my insurance remained relatively unchanged.
If you can reduce your yearly mileage a little, it might help.

Have you thought about a less expensive pastime if the premium difference for heavily modified vehicles is a dealbreaker? 😉
