WiseSage
I have just added the Maestro/Alpine head unit combination and a Eurozone carbon/leather steering wheel with matching stitching on my 2014 Samoa R8. In addition, I installed carbon extenders on the paddles. These items are quite pleasant to use and have an impressive appearance. I delayed the installation of the head unit since my vehicle did not come with any parking assistance, so I also included cameras. I should have completed the task sooner. I am quite satisfied with both of the improvements.
TDudette
Is the head unit functioning flawlessly?
WiseSage
Indeed, I own both Sirius and the compatibility for Apple Carplay as well as Android Auto. All tasks are really efficient. The sound quality is excellent thanks to the OE B &O speakers and amplifier. I have had it for around 7-10 days, therefore I am currently in the process of familiarising myself with all the menu and possibilities. I am an enthusiast of Samsung devices, but my daughter prefers Apple products, and she effortlessly changes between the two. I previously used the Bovee dongle, which was OK, albeit it sometimes had glitches but was generally acceptable. This is much superior. The appearance is quite satisfactory, just as I desired. In addition, my vehicle originally lacked parking sensors and a camera. However, I had cameras installed that seamlessly blend in with the car's design. These cameras will be invaluable in preventing parking-related damages in the future. I have just used my mobile device on a few occasions, but the audio quality seems to be satisfactory and distinct.
TDudette
The audio quality of vehicles equipped with the tune2air device I use is subpar. However, it is not prone to glitches. When I drive, I usually use headphones for phone conversations since it is much superior. Congratulations on your enhancements.
alpaco45
What is the level of quality of the carbon extenders on the paddles? Would you kindly disclose the source of your acquisition?
WiseSage
The quality is exceptional, indicating a high level of craftsmanship. I really like using the s-tronic in manual mode, and these enhancements have further enriched my experience. I made a purchase with Europrice, however, the products were manufactured and sent from Belgium. I had previously seen these on a topic here and was intrigued by the concept of their preserving the original paddles. Extremely satisfied with these and a beneficial enhancement. WiseSage
Additional photographs of the paddles. Understood. The rear of the device is made of carbon fibre material.

Matt865
I too own a 2014 vehicle and I am now considering upgrading the head unit. Which conversion kit and Alpine model did you utilise?
WiseSage
The Maestro unit, which is available for viewing on Crutchfield, may be paired with the Alpine iLX507.
