Partnering with an extended warranty provider

Recommended Posts

Greetings everyone,
I have 44,000 miles on my 2021 Range Rover Evoque P300e and I would like some guidance on extended warranties.
I called Land Rover Extended Warranty and was informed that a JLR multi-point examination would be necessary for the vehicle because it was not continually covered by a manufacturer-backed warranty when I purchased it. The next step is to determine if the vehicle is eligible for the Land Rover extended warranty.
I would like to know, from the experience of other Evoque owners who have filed claims, which warranty companies are the best before I make a final decision.
Is there anyone here who has had claims settled using:

    Extended Warranty for Land Rovers
    Simple Motor
Membership in AA, RAC, and Warrantywise
    A different service provider

In particular, I would like to know how the hybrid/P300e cars fared in terms of claims processing and ease of payment.
Thank you ahead of time.

I've used the LR Extended Warranty and MoT warranty for a couple repairs, and I'll keep buying them because they seem to cover everything, and my go-to independent LR garage has no problems working with them. After my Evoque is 10 years old (or 100,000 miles), I will only go to a third party provider because LR will no longer offer coverage.

Ideally, I'd get JLR's extended warranty, but they want me to take it in for a 25-point inspection at one of their dealerships, and the warranty expired in 2024. Right now, my electric vehicle is giving me trouble due to electrical system failures, a non-charging battery, and a malfunction with the hill climb assist feature. In any case, I am now embroiled in a dispute with the third-party dealer from whom I purchased the vehicle three months ago. I scheduled a diagnostic appointment with JLR for the 11th to find out their opinion and whether they will replace the EV battery under the warranty. I hope it works!
Apologies, much is happening right now, but I would like to pay for a warranty if I retain the vehicle. So much relief! Excuse me,

Understood. 😀 My independent contractor can update the online service history because he is registered with JLR. Without specifically asking, I assume this is a prerequisite for warranty work.
