John278
My outlook is changing drastically. The question is, which one and where did it come from? It's no secret that I disapprove of motorads. Otherwise, I can just hire anybody, right?
John278
For instance, this one? However, will it work for our Disco II? https://www.roverparts.com/engine-co...ts/PEM100990G/ Or should I just buy a thermometer and put it in the housing that's already there... Alex1978
I think the Genuine Land Rover t-stat is fantastic. You'll be alright if you adhere to that. D2 is configured differently than D1.
John278
Please make me a 180 degree turn.
br1anuk
Any 180F with a jiggle pin will do.
badgx
My favourite t-stat is the Stant 45858.
SkippyTom
The Stant 45858 180-degree thermometer is another tool of mine. I set it up about five years ago, and it's still functioning well. Having a combination of a Stant 45858 and a Nissens 64029 radiator allows me to maintain a body temperature of between 170 and 180 degrees. AMG33D
I cannot locate a 45858 online from the customary sources. Exist any viable alternatives? Yesterday, my water pump imploded. Fortunately, I was within 250 yards of my destination! Ordered a replacement FlowKooler and a Hayden 2991.
SkippyTom
Yes, I wonder whether they no longer carry that part number. It was at RockAuto, however. There is only one available for $1.81 on a wholesaler closeout. Grab it right now!
AMG33D
Damn missed it. That was supposed to be a motorad, right? I was under the impression that one should steer clear of them; but, are they the same thing?
