Is DAB reception included in the latest redesign?

Recommended Posts

Greetings

I presently possess a 23 registration GT Line S HEV. While I have somewhat acclimated to the unreliable DAB reception, I am curious whether the DAB reception has improved in the updated Sportage. Considering a potential upgrade and it would be beneficial to ascertain improvements.

Thank you very much.

I believe inadequate DAB reception is solely attributable to location. In Peterborough, I encounter no issues while driving, save for one location where there is no signal. In the eastern region, specifically Norfolk and Suffolk, there is minimal DAB+ reception, with only the BBC multiplex available on DAB.

Greetings. The GT Line S has a recognised issue. Prior talks have attributed this to the shark antenna on the glass of the panoramic roof. Upon acquiring the car, it was evidently inferior than the vehicle I had previously had. Identical location. There were discussions regarding Kia's potential resolution, but it ultimately did not materialise. It would be pleasant to believe that the updated model is superior. This might assist me in rationalising my desire to replace the automobile to my wife. 🙂

I lack experience with prior versions, but the reception in my my26 GTLS appears satisfactory, despite residing in a remote area and being 10 miles from my local DAB transmitter, which is not one of the larger antennas. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Perhaps they overlooked the impact of glass roofs on diminishing the ground plane area previously.
