SkippyTom
Greetings. I would much value your insights. We own a 316i estate from the 64 plate, which we have had for three years. In recent months, it seems to occasionally lose substantial power for brief intervals when in motion, but only during inclement weather. I had it examined by the local mechanic, and their diagnostic instruments detected no issues whatsoever. I find it difficult to believe that the automobile is experiencing aquaplaning, given the impression of power loss is much more pronounced than that. Furthermore, what might account for its sudden increased susceptibility to aquaplaning? Is it time to sell? Do you have any insights about the situation? Any assistance would be much appreciated. Darrellll
The DSC module has a brake drying mechanism that activates while the wipers are in use, applying little braking pressure to dry the discs, which should be imperceptible to the driver. The modules may malfunction, resulting in excessive braking force when the drying function is engaged. You own three alternatives. Replace DSC. 2. Dispatch the DSC for repair to ECU testing or a comparable facility. Eliminate the coding for brake drying.
