cumblechook22
Greetings! I have just acquired a magnificent Obsidian Black SL350 with red leather, and I am enamored. What an exquisite automobile. I had previously owned many Mercedes vehicles and appreciated each one, but this is my first in several years. My vehicle is equipped with an attractive specification that includes Keyless Entry and Keyless Go. Although they are really useful, I want to limit their usage to enhance security. I attempted the "2-button-push" method to deactivate the Keyless entry, but it was ineffective. Upon contacting the door handle, the vehicle reopens. I have attempted this with both keys and have not succeeded. Has anybody with a 2013 SL or a comparable model have similar difficulties in deactivating Keyless Entry? Has anybody achieved success by removing the fuse for the Keyless Entry/Go system? - supposing a single fuse serves both functions and no others? If affirmative, which fuse should I remove? Thank you, everyone.
cumblechook22
Update: Fuse 46 regulates the central locking system, alarm, and keyless entry, among other functions. Fuse 74 facilitates communication between the remote and the vehicle. Consequently, activating 74 renders the remote inoperative for keyless entry and button functions for locking/unlocking. Therefore, removing either fuse is not feasible.
