ML350_Colin
Greetings, I am seeking information on the wiring of a Viofo Dashcam. I do not want to install a hardwire kit at this moment. Ideally, I would for it to be powered by the cigarette lighter; but, I am uncertain how to route it to the centre console. Could you please provide suggestions? guyskin
Connect it to the 12v socket, allowing sufficient slack at the plug end, then navigate it through the spaces between interior panels and under the dashboard (utilising clips or tape) until you arrive at the door. Proceed similarly down the side of the dashboard, then insert it beneath the A-pillar trim until you reach the upper edge of the windscreen. Subsequently, insert it under the roof liner to ensure the plug is correctly positioned. If surplus cable exists, coil it and store it along the path, such as under the dashboard or behind the kick panel in the driver's footwell. ML350_Colin
The issue is that the centre console lid cannot shut while the 12v plug is in use.

guyskin
Is it possible to use the 12v socket located in the rear? Alternatively, is a cable with an OBDII connector compatible with this model?
