  1. Discovered this item, which did not seem to be originally installed by the manufacturer. Additionally, both ends of the shrink tube junction had previously been secured by someone else, perhaps due to a similar problem. They replaced the wire with unknown connections and wires, since several connections and two different coloured wires were detected. This was not satisfactory. In summary, I removed the part and replaced the wire with the appropriate shrink connectors, electrical tape, and cloth tape for a polished appearance. The car now starts without any problems. However, a new issue has arisen where a message appears asking to depress the clutch. This is a new occurrence that has not happened before. After a few attempts, the car starts. It seems that the clutch pedal sensor is malfunctioning and has to be replaced. Once the replacement is done, the system will need to be relearned. Afterward, I will take the car on a drive to initiate a forced regeneration process. May this information be of use to anyone facing a similar problem. I will provide an update if the issue is totally resolved or if any further problems arise. I hope for a positive outcome.
  2. I will do the task and provide updates. Thank you, my friend.
  3. Greetings, br1anuk. The mechanic has been occupied with work in the last several days, so little progress has been made so far. If the automobile starts OK when power is directly sent to the starter with the ignition on, but does not turn over by itself, it is possible that the starter is faulty, or there may be an issue with the wiring to the starter or the grounding. However, all the relays are functioning properly. Require a thorough diagnosis for it, using Opcom and perhaps further procedures based on online research. However, the other technician is now on vacation till November, indicating that the vehicle is not experiencing significant issues. We will thoroughly verify everything later today when he arrives shortly after 2pm, including the first steps. If we get any outcomes, I will inform you. Thank you for your assistance. Exasperating.
  4. Good evening everyone, I hope you are all in good health. I have just had the Insignia A 2011 Elite ecoflex ss for 2 months, and it has not been a satisfactory experience so far. After a few days, I received a service vehicle soon message and my car finally entered limp mode. I decided to take it for a drive on the highway when the dashboard displayed a message to keep driving. This action eventually resolved the problem, but the service vehicle soon message continued to show without the vehicle entering limp mode again. Performed a diagnostic using a Snap-on kit and identified a faulty DPF sensor. Replaced the sensor and conducted the necessary calibration. The vehicle operated smoothly afterwards, however, the "service vehicle soon" warning continued to appear when decelerating, but disappeared when accelerating. Shortly before my planned trip to Devon, the vehicle entered limp mode, despite a 40-mile motorway journey with no improvement. Conducted a diagnostic test and identified a defect with the brake pedal sensor. Replaced the faulty sensor, but the vehicle remained in limp mode. Due to time constraints, left the car overnight. Upon returning the next morning to do more testing, the car failed to start, despite the battery being in good condition. This is an unusual occurrence. The ignition lights are functioning, however upon attempting to start the vehicle, the ignition lights turn out and there is no engine crank. Examined all pertinent relays and cables that were visible and conducted tests on all grounding connections, all of which seemed to be in satisfactory condition. We activated the ignition and applied the probe to the starter, causing it to immediately start. This has left us feeling perplexed. Is it possible that the problem lies in a defective ignition system, immobiliser, poor grounding, faulty wiring to the starter, or a malfunction in the CAN bus? The sole diagnostic fault that was identified was related to the Body Control Module (BCM), which indicated a loss of communication with the ABS system. Apologies for the lengthy message, but I have made an effort to explain to the best of my ability given my little understanding. Apologies for the oversight. I neglected to mention the specific time when the vehicle was forcefully started, and thereafter, it operated at maximum capacity but emitted a significant amount of smoke. I would really appreciate any assistance from you all.
  5. This demonstrates the process of replacing your HDD.
  6. Thank you everyone, I resolved the issue after many further attempts. I discovered a useful suggestion online, but I cannot confirm whether it had an impact on my situation. Rotate the shaft so that the open end of the clip is positioned at 12 o’clock. In this manner, the lower side droops slightly, allowing the clip to centre itself when the shaft is inserted. If the open end is facing downwards, the clip ends might catch and potentially roll over onto the splines if enough force is applied. After reseating it, I used a rubber mallet to give it three hits. I felt it move, then with a last push, I heard a pleasant 'click' sound, which led to some joyful expletives! Thank you everybody for your advice and recommendations. They have given me confidence that I am on the correct road. Much love.
  7. Thank you both. I am certain that the old one is still on the old shaft. However, I will inspect the hole more closely just to be thorough. I'm also curious whether the used shaft has a snap ring, since it may be hitting the bottom without anything to catch onto. Otherwise, I will persist. Thank you for the guidance.
  8. Hello everyone, Seeking advice from anybody. I am attempting to put a new front CV axle (C43 S205 2019). The hub end of the shaft is pre-installed since the kit was purchased second-hand with all components included. I am trying to install it and aligning the splines, but I am unable to spin the brake disc anymore, and I am having difficulty securing it in position. The strut has been removed, and the top of the hub is detached, enabling the hub and disc to travel forward freely for easy manoeuvring. I elevated the hub using two bricks to align the shaft properly and prevent it from resisting or retracting. I have tried several methods such as wriggling, pressing, applying oil, and pounding with a rubber mallet. It seems like it's hitting a hard object? I'm gripping the innermost section of the shaft to prevent loss of force via the CV joint. Upon examining the part I removed, it seems to have a snap ring located just before the end of the splines. I presume this snap ring engages with a component inside the gearbox when the part is completely inserted. Must they adhere to a certain order or pattern? I had seen a video demonstrating this feature on a different automobile model. It seemed that with a little force, you would hear a comforting click, and then it would be difficult to retract it. I have not had much time to test it yet, but I need to go now and will try again tomorrow. Wondering whether I should seek help to address any fundamental oversights or if I just need to apply more effort. Thank you very much
  9. It is essential for every party to have at least one.
  10. Hi Verify the adequacy of antifreeze levels in the water.
  11. Inspecting or changing bladders is a task that requires removing the seat. Have you removed the seat-back cover in order to have access to the control modules? Are the settings of the air bladders in both front seats equally responsive?
  12. It is important to note that the seat module has the capability to detect a leak and will deactivate the pump within a few minutes. This is done in order to avoid the pump from experiencing burnout.
  13. Indeed. I neglected to mention that the buttons were there on my 1997 W210 model. Dear Kameel, Have you unequivocally hit the '+' button when the ignition and lights were activated? The user's input is a single letter "i".It is rare for something to be unsuccessful. If such is the case, conducting a trial with an inexpensive substitute cluster might be a viable option to consider.
  14. That does not resemble the dimmer switch. It seems to be related to the adjustment of the headlight range. I am certain that the dimmer switch on such vehicles also serves as the trip reset function on the instrument cluster. These contacts may get soiled - try rotating it in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction many times.
  15. I use these products in conjunction with an interior spray cleaner (specifically, odk cabin) and thereafter remove any remaining residue by wiping it off with a microfiber towel.
  16. I inspected the cable and discovered that it had sustained damage when connecting to the lock on the left side of the vehicle.
  17. Upon inspection, I discovered that the plastic weatherproofing of the outer cable had detached in a specific area. Consequently, I opted for a replacement cable and ensured that the cabin cable was well lubricated throughout the disassembly process. Applied lubrication to the safety catch of the car's hood, since it was not functioning properly.
  18. Sought assistance in locating a substitute cable. A new cable has been installed at the latch end, resolving the issue. I am now fully resolved. Thank you for your assistance. 👍
  19. I will test it in various scenarios over the next several weeks. Thank you. I haven't seen any modifications. Are there any?
  20. I appreciate your guidance. Do you require cable removal to perform that task? It appears to be a complex job to undertake. 🙁 Have you already encountered this task?
  21. Hope someone here may assist with a matter with bonnet catches, while opening and lever has returned to its place, The act of closing it is challenging since it tends to repeatedly spring back up, and the catches fail to secure it until you manipulate the wires and catches, after which it finally shuts.
  22. If these accessories were provided and installed by Kia, there should be no concerns with interference from the can. It is probable that they have deleted the codes and have been unable to reproduce the problem. Without any codes indicating a specific issue (if that is the case), it becomes very challenging to pinpoint a particular circuit. Could you provide me with the list of codes?
  23. It seems to be a problem related to water entering the system. The product is sufficiently new to be protected by a warranty. If any issues arise within the first year, it is advisable to seek assistance from the RAC for recovery, since they provide a vehicle programme for such situations. Regrettably, if you choose to drive directly to the dealer, you will be subject to their discretion and I would venture to guess that their courtesy vehicles will likely be fully reserved for servicing appointments. However, if you purchased the automobile from the same dealer you drove it to, I am certain that they will feel obligated to go to great lengths and provide assistance. Nevertheless, if they possess a collection of trouble codes, it certainly provides them with a starting point. These kind of flaws might be the most laborious to uncover. It is advisable to contact Kia customer services in order to exert more pressure on the dealer. Furthermore, the dealer should have been regularly updating you as part of their standard procedure. If they have not shown the decency of contacting you for a full week, I would recommend directly contacting Kia customer care. Wishing you success.
