AMG33D
Hello, my tyre pressure warning light activates after about one hour of driving, accompanied by the statement "tyre pressure monitor unavailable." The next day was clear, and after a brief drive, I was able to check the tire pressures, all of which were OK.Continued driving will activate the warning light and message once again. Is this an issue with the control module? If so, where is it located on my GLC220d 4MATIC manufactured around January 2020?
bvlenci
I assume that one of your TPMS sensors may be defective. Potential reasons include depleted batteries or damage resulting from recent tire replacements.
AMG33D
Confident that all tyre pressure monitoring systems are functioning properly, since they consistently provide correct readings after the vehicle has been driven for many kilometres. After about one hour of driving, the issue arises, and the warning light activates, accompanied by the message indicating that the monitoring system is unavailable. The next day, everything was satisfactory once again, until about one hour of operation.
carBlacken
It seems to be a low battery issue with one of the sensors, albeit I lack expertise in this area.
bvlenci
My Ford Kuga loses signal after around 20 minutes or 7 miles of driving. I am not an expert; yet, it is what it is, to be honest. If you own a scanner, when the event occurs, remain still and verify the TPMS using the OBD2 connection. However, if you are certain it is none of those options, it necessitates a visit to MB, among others. They sleep while it is not being operated. AMG33D
I have contemplated if the issue may be the TPMS control module.Does it have a loose wire? Or is it influenced by thermal accumulation?I am unaware of its placement on the GLC220d.I am reluctant to remove plastic trays in search of it, but I may have to begin at some point. The TPMS batteries would not maintain recovery, would they?
bvlenci
Measure the duration on the next outing. My Kuga exhibited consistent performance at all instances and distances for several weeks.
clk320x4
It is a faulty connection of the wheel sensor to the chassis beneath the wheel arch. Disconnect and spray generously with contact cleaning. Done
Rojoires
TPMS is unrelated to the hardwired wheel speed sensor, which is used for anti-lock and anti-spin systems.
