Ortsmatt
Upon opening my Android Auto screen, the primary display is occupied by Google Maps, while the secondary display, positioned to the left of the screen, has the Music player. Every time, I have to go to the right side of the screen and choose the music player as the primary display in order to reverse the placement. Is there a method to choose the default placement? I am unable to locate it in any location.
clk320x4
A more convenient method to toggle it is simply by pressing the button adorned with a musical note on your central control panel. In my own opinion, I have a preference for Waze over Google Maps. By the way, Waze provides real-time traffic notifications.
MrGreedy
In fact, I am of the opinion that both of them now use identical data and provide real-time traffic notifications. The choice mostly depends on your preference for the interface and the convenience of reporting circumstances offered by Waze. With the introduction of Android Auto's latest "Coolwalk" interface, Google Maps now has the capability to occupy the whole screen, but Waze does not currently possess this functionality. The deployment of Coolwalk is progressing gradually. I just received access to it, although my wife has not yet obtained it. I really like the immersive experience provided by the full screen maps. Ortsmatt
Thank you for the advice. I was unaware that hitting the Music button on the console would change the applications. That is ok to me 🙂
alpaco45
I am eagerly anticipating the release of the coolwalk upgrade. My pal has it and its appearance on our screen is much more attractive. I have upgraded my Pixel 6 to a new version of Android Auto (AA), but the user interface remains same.
Ortsmatt
I have not received the Coolwalk update yet, despite being on the most recent version of AA. We must exercise patience and wait.
alpaco45
I just acquired it, and I am now enjoying the immersive full-screen experience it offers.
Ortsmatt
After rebooting my phone tonight, I finally have Coolwalk installed. The current interface is far more aesthetically pleasing than the old one. The GPS with full screen display is enjoyable, particularly when combined with satellite imagery.
br1anuk
I received the update last night and the most notable feature of Android coolwalk is the ability to see Google Maps in full widescreen mode.
clk320x4
I want for it to be available on WAZE as well.
