AMG33D
I typically utilise the Tomtom satnav application due to its effective speed camera notifications, which are pronounced and clear, such as "speed camera ahead x yards!" rather than a mere beep. I consider it more dependable and evident than Waze. However, I find the user interface of both unsatisfactory. Having researched Ooono, I find it to be a commendable system. Utilising it would liberate my satnav application, enabling me to employ Google Maps, which permits a bird's-eye perspective at a customisable zoom level—an option I prefer. Is Ooono a trustworthy source for speed camera information? The absence of a subscription charge raises my suspicions regarding its affordability. Does anyone have comments on this system or alternative options they would want to share? Amazon reviews are varied. Thank you. Does Waze exclusively alert users about speed cameras when they are above the speed limit? It occasionally fails to detect them, sometimes emits a beep, and at other times verbalises... hence, I am reluctant to depend on it. CyberNinja
I have been utilising this particular item for a brief period. It is satisfactory, and it can be downloaded on your phone for use with CarPlay, if available. It is worthwhile to download and experiment with. clk320x4
I possess Ooonos in each vehicle. They are exceptional. Similar to Waze, they depend on the user community to report and confirm the ongoing existence of cameras and risks. The number of Ooono users is lower than that of Waze, resulting in inferior coverage. They function similarly to Waze, yet they are far more audible and apparent when issuing alerts, and acknowledging or reporting cameras and hazards is facilitated by a huge, singular button. MrGreedy
TomTom has recently introduced a direct competitor to the Ooono Co-Driver No2.

AMG33D
Thank you for the information. Do you trust Ooono as much as Waze or TomTom?
AMG33D
The product appears satisfactory; nonetheless, the limited reviews on Amazon are unfavourable.
MrGreedy
I possess marginally greater confidence in Waze regarding the presence of cameras or hazards, particularly mobile cameras, due to the higher volume of user reports. Conversely, I have significantly greater assurance that Ooono will notify me of the camera or hazard, as it provides both visual and auditory alerts consistently. As you and other members have indicated in several forums, I frequently do not receive alerts from Waze regarding camera locations. It is likely due to my adherence to the speed limit; yet, I would still prefer to be aware of its presence. My approach is to utilise Ooono for speed camera and hazard notifications, while employing Waze for navigation purposes. The camera and hazard alerts provided by Waze are an additional advantage. MrGreedy
Intriguing. I was previously unaware of this. It would be optimal for Waze to provide a smart button; they must have considered this possibility.
