BMW Z3, 1998

Recommended Posts

We just acquired the 1998 Z3 from a friend; it is in acceptable condition but not flawless. I am now seeing an ABS warning light and a check engine light on the dashboard, but I am unable to locate an OBD2 port for diagnosis or reset. It disappeared briefly after several days then reemerged when revving to just over 5,000 RPM. I must resolve the issue.
Additionally, it is equipped with a Blaupunkt radio that cannot tune to frequencies beyond 87.9 FM. The university station is located here, however it is quite restrictive. The CD changer functions sometimes but mostly becomes stuck.
I want to inspect the exhaust for a little rattling and assess the condition under the vehicle.

Overall, she is an exquisite beauty, and my wife adores her. 😉
