KissezFun
I engage in 3D printing. A dear friend has lately said farewell to Titch, the family Jack Russell. He inquired if it was feasible to generate a 3D representation of himself using images. My preliminary study suggests that is feasible; has anybody among you done this? My understanding of CAD is akin to the song "TOO LOW FOR ZERO." I am eager to facilitate this for him and his spouse. They just had their first vacation following Titch's passing, and his wife collapsed at the front entrance, acutely aware that Titch would not be around to welcome her. Assistance in creating a 3D STL file for this endeavor will evoke several cherished memories for a wonderful family. I appreciate any assistance you may provide. QuirkEinstein
Have you used any AI software so far?
KissezFun
Negative. I am struggling to comprehend fundamental CAD, thus I believe AI will just exacerbate my difficulties.
QuirkEinstein
I have used OnShape (CAD software) for the last three years to design components and items for my coursework, achieving a high level of proficiency; yet, I would find it very challenging to create organic shapes, such as a model dog. However, you might request an AI to generate the STL file for you, maybe use your images as a reference. It may lack exact resemblance, yet it is worth attempting.
