In a state of panic, I had my mechanic friend perform a DPF cleaning, and surprisingly, he informed me it was merely 33% full, yet he proceeded with the cleaning regardless! After 2.5 years, another acquaintance now possesses my Evoque, and there have been no further DPF alerts since.

hi just thought i would let you know of the shock i got today regarding my evoque this is my first diesel car so i have owned this car for 4 yrs never had this problem before in my 70yrs got in the car to take missus to tesco warning came on exhuast full i had not got a clue so went into panick mode looked up what to do drive at 40 to 60 for half hr or so keeping revs at 2500 to 3000 not a cat in hells chance of that where i live but gave it a go 15 mins in realised i could not keep this up so i put car in sport mode and used paddles that i have never used to change down to 2nd and 3rd to keep up the revs did this for 1 hour during that time the car also shut down active dynamics but didnt alter steering the told me my hood was open so i pulled up checked bonnet that was not open and carried on driving to my home as i parked on my drive the small triangular warning went off so i got out my icarsoft and cleared all the faults left the car overnight next morning went out fired up the car no faults now seem all ok but what a day of learning for me in my first ever diesel car :unsure: 🙂

I wanted to thank you and finish the thread. There was no need to replug the diagnostic tool after installing the 40ah auxiliary battery today; to my relief, the engine management light and drivetrain warning went away.

I believe it will sound an alarm to alert the user about the battery.

Based on my observations, the hybrid side is totally separate from the 2.0 engine, meaning the 12v system is identical to a regular 2.0i. This means that the spare battery can be easily replaced. After the replacement, my next question is whether the alarm will go off by itself.

Based on what I've discovered online, you can directly replace the small auxiliary battery; the only one you need to inform the software about when it's replaced is the boot battery.

Could you please tell me which 12v battery this is referring to? My 2016 330e has a small 12v battery under the hood, and I think that's the source of the 2228c8 fault. On my coder, I can see the amp hour rating and reset option for the larger 12v battery in the boot menu, but I can't find anything about the smaller 12v battery or resetting. This has me confused. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

The car's location appears to be unchanged. I can see where there is a strong signal on my mobile device—which is a Vodafone SIM—but it has no effect on EV3. There are instances when trips are completely disconnected, rendering the SatNav useless.

The car will display your phone's network signal; if the signal is weak, it could be because Kia uses Vodafone to connect to their server and back. Does it operate faster if you drive it to a more open area?

That seems like something the Kia workshop could handle.

Hello, my EV3 is acting up. On a regular basis, it takes my SATNAV about ten to fifteen minutes to provide me with live access. A message reading "Network connection unstable On board navigation will be provided" is all I ever receive. The message "Service not activated (KIA Connect) not subscribed" appears in the General section, under OTA - Infotainment and Map. However, after a ten to fifteen minute delay, it changes to "Activated." I can connect to the EV3 through the KIA Connect app on my Android phone, and my KIA Connect account is active. It doesn't matter how strong the mobile network signal is; this happens every time I use the car. It was a major pain to attempt to leave London without a working SATNAV. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, please let me know.
