CodeCrusader
After fully discharging and recharging the battery, I am now receiving an SRS error warning. How can I clear this issue? Can I purchase a diagnostic/reset tool to clear it myself, or should I see my local independent mechanic to address it? I am reluctant to drive the automobile if the airbag is malfunctioning. dave783
Why did you deplete the battery and what method did you use?
CodeCrusader
Due to a slower-than-anticipated recovery following my ankle procedure, the automobile remained untouched for five weeks before I was able to access it and start it. It is currently retaining control.
bvlenci
You may clear the error message yourself with iCarsoft. iCarsoft will inform you of the defect before clearing the error message, which may or may not be linked to the battery drain. Alternatively, any independent Mercedes-Benz expert equipped with an MB STAR diagnostic computer may do this task for you.

TechWhiz
Rotate the steering wheel from one extreme end to the other many times while the engine is on.
Mistral
Although not the same car or reason, I experienced something similar with my Vito. While thorough cleaning my vehicle, I removed the double front passenger seat set. I disconnected the seat sensor wire to do this. Everything was going well until I turned on the engine without the seat connected, causing the SRS light to come on right away. The device remained active, and no error codes were shown on my code reader. I conducted thorough investigation, since I like to do all car responsibilities myself, and found no suitable choice. I eventually brought my vehicle to a Mercedes independent mechanic, who connected it to their Star computer and used it to deactivate the system. Regrettably, it seems that the requested task of resetting the SRS warning light was not completed, resulting in the "fasten seatbelt" warning no longer functioning on my Vito. Before I paid them to fix the lit SRS warning light, it warned appropriately.
alpaco45
That will not resolve an airbag warning light. Most garages will delete it for a little fee.
DSM10000
The airbag's function depends on your interpretation. He is concerned about the possibility of his airbag malfunctioning. The airbag warning light is on. Turn on the engine and, as suggested, rotate the steering wheel fully to the left and right many times. After travelling a few kilometres, the light will go out. I believe just a certain component of the automobile needs to understand its limitations.
CodeCrusader
Thank you for your responses. I attempted the tip to turn left and turn right, but it was unsuccessful. Therefore, I will have to borrow my neighbor's Carly. Where is the diagnostic plug located on my CLC200k? I anticipated it to be located under the steering wheel, but it does not seem to be there in that location. I would appreciate your assistance. jimmy47785
It might be concealed with a cover. It will be located above the driver's right shin. Examine carefully and inspect any flaps and coverings you come across.
