Anyone who has used or heard of Kismis Transport, would appreciate any thoughts?

Hi everyone,

Looking for a bit of advice. I’ve been looking up a 2020 Audo Q3 listed on eBay, it’s being sold by Kismis Transport. The price is noticeably lower than the usual going rate for that year and mileage, which naturally made me a bit suspicious.
From what I can tell, they’re mainly a shipping/transport company, but apparently, they also handle repossessed cars now. Anyone here dealt with them before?

Sounds dodgy to me mate. Any time I’ve come across deals like that, it’s been a classic case of “if it’s too good to be true…” You’ve got to be careful, especially if they won’t let you see the car before paying anything.

Never heard of them before today, but had a look online and there are quite a few testimonials. Seems they’ve got a separate team now handling vehicle sales. A lot of their stock is repossessed, which explains the price. I wouldn’t jump in head-first, but it doesn’t scream scam to me.

I share your hesitation, @Ortsmatt. It’s a weird time to be buying online, loads of fraud about. That said, I did a bit of digging and Kismis Transport’s been registered since 2021. They’ve got a valid Companies House listing and their sales team replied to my email within the hour. I haven’t bought from them, but it gave me a decent first impression.

I acquired a vehicle through kismis transport, and the transaction was conducted through a bank transfer. Prior to making a commitment, I consulted with my solicitor, who confirmed that bank transfers are subject to stringent regulations. Additionally, starting from 7th October, UK banks are required to refund scam victims up to £85,000 within a five-day timeframe under new regulations (certainly worth investigating further!).

Ultimately, the decision rests with you, external pressures should not influence your comfort level regarding a purchase!

I gave them a call and chatted with a guy named Brian. I reached out to see if I could swing by and take a look at a Disco 4 I spotted on Facebook Marketplace. They told me I could drop by whenever, and they even sent a location pin along with the V5C for me to check out.
I decided to go with delivery in the end, it was just too much hassle trying to get to Belfast from Swindon. 
My car's due next Monday. I’ll keep you posted if everything goes smoothly.

Fair enough. Still makes me nervous, all this paying upfront and waiting for a car to arrive. But sounds like they were responsive, which is more than you get from half these online sellers.

So, I ended up buying a 2020 bimmer 3 series from Kismis Transport last month, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. I paid through a bank transfer into their segregated account, and they made it clear that the funds would be held until I confirmed I wanted to keep the car. The car arrived in just over a week, and it was absolutely spotless, with all the documents neatly tucked in the glovebox. Oh, and the driver even called ahead of time so I could clear the driveway. I was really impressed with the whole process.

I used their service to get a Nissan Qashqai delivered. Communication was very good and they kept me updated throughout. Took it straight to Kwik Fit, clean bill of health! Told Kismis Transport by day 3 I was happy to keep it.

Hi everyone,
I bought a 2017 Ford Kuga from them last year via eBay. Was worried at first, but they sent all the documents over before I paid. The car arrived after 9 days, exactly as shown in the pictures. Only hiccup was the delivery truck couldn’t make it onto my cul-de-sac – we had to unload it on the main road.

Happy I found this thread... been watching a 2019 Raptor they’ve got listed. Bit gutted I didn’t grab it sooner, looks like someone’s beaten me to it. Might keep an eye out and see what else pops up. Sounds like they’ve got their act together.

Update! The Q3 arrived yesterday evening, looks absolutely class. It’s exactly what was shown in the photos, and all documents were present. Took it to my local guy this morning and he said it’s in “remarkably clean condition.”  I’d recommend Kismis Transport based on this experience.
