Otherwise, the generation of energy would be occurring without any apparent source. Given my little knowledge on this subject matter, it seems plausible that your assertion is correct. It is implausible that there is no decrease in horsepower (HP) while supplying electricity to the electric motor in an internal combustion engine (ICE).
