  2. Bit of a risky one, m8. Prices that far below book always make me suspicious. There’ve been tons of online scams recently where people pay and never see the car. Hopefully it’s not one of those situations, fingers crossed for you. Cheers
  3. Hey everyone, I’m based in Leeds and recently arranged the purchase of a 2020 Audi A4 S Line through a company called Glenside Logistics in Belfast. They told me it’s a finance repossession which explains why it’s about £5000 cheaper than the usual market value. They said delivery will take around 7–9 days and that payments are handled through a segregated business account for safety, with a 10-day inspection and refund option once the car arrives. I’ve already sent the funds, but now I’m wondering if anyone here has actually dealt with them? Hoping I’ve made the right move and not fallen for something dodgy. Thanks in advance!

  5. Exercise caution, as oil pressure may not be accessible due to a fundamentally different sensor configuration compared to an oil pressure indicator light. Many oil temperatures are determined through calculation rather than direct measurement from a physical sensor. Can is fundamentally straightforward once acclimated; yet, several aspects can be quite challenging to decipher. Fortunately, this does not apply to you.
  6. I am currently considering locating a device that can interpret the information on the CAN, as all the sensors are already present and accessible through the concealed menus. The inexpensive AliExpress HUD devices can interpret the information, but I believe it would be preferable to have a set of analogue gauges similar to those in the initial post to exhibit the data. I am presently descending down this wormhole...
  7. The sensor accompanying the gauge is predominantly utilised. It becomes somewhat simpler when utilising a standalone or plug-and-play ECU; nonetheless, sensors are still required for the ECU to function effectively. The most challenging aspect will be the oil temperature sensor. Generally, it should be positioned low in the sump.
  8. I have indeed perused AliExpress and observed the HUDs you referenced. I am quite fond of the concept of permanent gauges, however. I have noted that the Mighty Car Mods Hilux project utilises the standalone Haltech engine management system to control a stepper motor for the original speedometer, but that will require a restomod budget rather than an AliExpress budget. Richard from Bad Obsession Motorsport has engaged in Arduino programming for the dashboard of Project Binky, suggesting a potentially arduous endeavour in creating a custom build. Further research becomes necessary.
  9. I possess an aftermarket heads-up display unit. Some will exhibit all the aforementioned items and are connected to the OBD port. I am not a specialist in this area; but, could you not acquire a gauge holder that directly connects to your OBD port? I am confident that AliExpress may possess one; they appear to offer a comprehensive range of products. 🙂👍🏼
  10. As I anticipated. Utilising cables for connection was my desperate attempt for solutions.
  11. I assume it will not be straightforward, given that information is transmitted via the CAN bus from the DDE. If you possess a device capable of interpreting the bus, you can connect at the JBE, as that is the source from which the M performance steering wheel obtains its information.
  12. I wish to incorporate water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure, but what mechanisms will provide the necessary signals for the gauges? Is a device required to connect to the OBD? Is it an emulator or something similar? Are there physical wires available for connection?

  16. I observed a gauge holder on eBay that substitutes the ashtray (E91).
  17. Thank you everybody for your responses.
  18. I would if I could; but, the positioning of my seat and steering wheel obstructs my view, necessitating that I elevate my head to attempt to see it. It does not concern me, as I consistently operate my vehicle with the fuel economy indicator visible on the right side of my dashboard.
  19. Monitoring the fuel consumption indicator allows you to modify your driving habits to enhance your miles per gallon (if desired).
  20. Fuel efficiency of my Sportage PHEV
  21. Consider whether, similar to my Sorento, it merely serves as a fuel usage indication.
  22. Greetings everyone, I possess a 2025 mild hybrid Sportage, which I am currently familiarising myself with. I cannot locate information regarding the blue line with a moving indicator situated at the bottom of the driver's display, positioned between the speedometer and tachometer. I assume that pertains to the hybrid system, although I am uncertain of its implications. Any suggestions? Kindly

  24. Indeed, it was cleverly concealed within another article! Apologies.
