Brake light illuminating instead of turn signal

I disconnected the ground tracks in the light cluster and connected a line directly from the battery, thus the ground should be adequate. -

What specific Earth fix did you implement? It appears like the back earth pin or wire has been burned or is burnt out. -

Initially, I considered the earth connections; nevertheless, after thoroughly reading the entire post, I recognise that you have already attempted it! 😊 -

That is a compelling concept. I suppose there is no harm in attempting. -

Can the bulb holder from the opposite side be temporarily fitted to determine if the defect transfers sides? -
Greetings, everyone. I am now addressing yet another issue with my 2003 Z4 2.5L E85, but progress is being made. When I signal left, everything functions correctly; however, when I signal right, the ticking noise accelerates, and the rear brake light flashes instead of the indicator. How bizarre! When I activate the hazard lights, they operate as anticipated. I believe all bulbs are functional, with the exception of the side repeater, which I have not checked for replacement; nonetheless, I do not anticipate it being defective. I established a temporary ground connection to the light cluster at the rear, as the faulty ground at the cluster was a convenient starting place; nonetheless, it yielded no improvement. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I have encountered mentions of 'rear tail light earth' in many threads here, but I have been unable to locate any specific information

Indeed, we were overwhelmed the night prior. I was quite apprehensive about using all-season tires on this Mazda, but it managed effortlessly. I was astounded!

Excellent work. It appears frigid with perhaps sleet. The weather here is contrary.

During my downtime in the shop today, I connected the device to a steady power source and performed the TCU update to eliminate the telematics error message. Thank you It functioned exceptionally well! I remained after hours to have my live rearview mirror fitted.

Your CX-90 will appear more aesthetically pleasing once it is washed.

Thank you. I intended to post a picture, but my Mazda is excessively dirty.

It is a pleasure to get your communication.

Recently acquired a 2024 CX90 premium and am keen to discover any pertinent facts, both favourable and unfavourable, regarding this vehicle.

I believe I have discerned my issue. It appears that the actuators previously failed to fully elevate the hinges upon activation, instead forcing the hinges into the bonnet, resulting in an indentation that rendered the screws on the hinges uneven. I will remove the bonnet when I have the opportunity to verify.
-
Merely another fraudulent scheme at the dealer level. 🤬
-
The sole additional counsel I can offer is as follows, The system necessitates intervention from a certified technician or an authorised Mercedes-Benz service centre employing dealer-level diagnostic equipment. Repairs generally need the replacement of deployed or defective bonnet actuators (lifters). Inspecting and substituting any defective impact sensors or wire connections. Erasing failure codes from the SRS module via specialised software. In certain instances, the control unit may require replacement and reprogramming.
-
Greetings, thank you. However, I have disconnected and deleted those components, and it remains elevated.
-
Following an accident that activates the mechanism, the pyrotechnic charges in the rear bonnet hinges are deployed, elevating the bonnet physically. The deployed components must be substituted with new or refurbished equipment. In most instances, they are disposable objects.

Hello everyone, I am seeking advise on this matter. I possess a 2019 W177 that was involved in a minor accident, resulting in the malfunction of the bonnet actuators; thus, I am replacing the hinges with fresh new ones from Mercedes. Despite several hours of effort, I still unable to get a flush fit for the bonnet, which sits excessively high at the rear. Has anyone encountered this or a similar situation previously? Assistance would be valued.

Disseminate the information inside your network. An individual might be acquainted with another who requires a vehicle for this amount of money. Ultimately, a car's value is determined solely by the price a buyer is willing to pay. -

Dealer profit margins and contemplating a modification

Thank you for the comprehensive analysis. All of it is frustratingly logical. A private sale is the sole method to obtain what I believe it is worth, and I am not inclined to have the general public on my property. Indeed, reality may be harsh. I will likely retain it for an extended period unless the logistical issues escalate in Chateaux Fabes. -
Dealer profit margins and contemplating a modification

As an experienced salesman, I would not accept a margin of less than 3,000 on a 15,000 vehicle; even that seems somewhat constrained. Prior to initiating any negotiations or discounts, it is important to note that $3,000 is not a substantial amount. You initially incur VAT on the £3000 "profit" (which constitutes the VAT content, not inclusive of VAT), resulting in a £500 loss to taxation before any further deductions.Furthermore, if the engine malfunctions during the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) necessitating the installation of a reconditioned unit at a cost of £3000, you ultimately realise no profit. Additionally, you are obligated to remit VAT on the entire £3000, as you cannot deduct any reconditioning expenses from your margin prior to taxation. Consequently, you would incur a loss of £500. Subsequently, you are responsible for the warranty payment, which may be seen as insurance ensuring that the vehicle you sell does not malfunction; if it does, ideally the warranty provider will cover the costs instead of you.It is not intended to safeguard the customer; rather, it is designed to protect the dealer. This amounts to several hundred, potentially more if it pertains to a high-end vehicle. Neglecting to identify a low or damaged tyre during your appraisal may result in an additional expense of three to four hundred dollars. Subsequently, you must compensate your technician, who charges between 40,000 and 50,000 annually, for the pre-delivery inspection and/or servicing, in addition to the cost of parts. The valet will want compensation, as would the administrative personnel and any other individuals associated with car sales. Additionally, there are the escalating business charges, attributed to Rachel. Heating, lighting, information technology, etc. Consider it from that perspective; on a favourable to mediocre transaction, one may be fortunate to net £1200 to £1500 on the lower end of a £3000 margin vehicle. Indeed, we occasionally acquire exceptional bargains on select vehicles that we may "procure." However, when considering those with concealed issues that failed to sell within the designated timeframe for various reasons and were subsequently traded, it becomes evident why a substantial margin is essential and why dealers frequently face insolvency. Incorporating the additional mandatory operational criteria of a primary dealership, such as showroom specifications, curated vehicle selection, coffee machines, and other amenities, exacerbates the situation. Few primary dealerships will service vehicles priced below £3000 on a car valued above £20,000. If you observe your former vehicle on the forecourt priced only slightly above what they paid you, it is likely they anticipate difficulty in selling it. Consequently, they may have incorporated a portion of the profit from the new car into its price to facilitate its sale. Alternatively, if it is near the end of a quarter or fiscal year, they might include part of the quarterly bonus in the pricing to secure the final deals necessary to meet targets.
